2007 Calendar of Events

It’s that time of the year again! Time to take trips with your fellow AirSports comrades! So far, we already have the next two months planned out. If you have any suggestions, comments, or good trip ideas, please feel free to pass them along to any member of our AirSports staff.

March 30th (Rain/Snow Date April 1st –No Joke):  One day trip to Cabela’s in Dundee, Meeeechigan. For the outdoorsmen, this is the Mecca of shopping. Hunting, fishing, camping, boating, hiking, you name it, Cabela’s has it for you! Cabela’s will send a car to pick up all arrivals at the airport and return them to their plane once done shopping. Weight and balance will be a part of your planning, which includes after shopping. The flight is 82.4 NM one way. The more people per plane, the less your costs will be. Bring a non flying friend if you’d like. We would depart KBKL at 10am and hope to return back here by 5pm. Just call any of our offices to reserve your space today. We will help fill your plane with other pilots to share duties and costs. CFI’s are available upon request. **Note- If the Cabela’s trip wasn’t enough, The Worlds Largest Beef Jerky Outlet store is 1 mile away from Cabela’s, so plan a quick stop for some hot sauce and jerky.

April 13th, 14th, and 15th: Cooperstown, NY. Since it’s the start of baseball season, we decided to take a trip up to The Baseball Hall of Fame. See the likes of ‘The Sultan of Swat’, ‘The Yankee Clipper’ and ‘The Flying Dutchman’, all in one museum, plus many, many others. It’s roughly 300 NM from BKL, so we decided to turn it into a weekend. The details of this trip are very involved and are still somewhat in the beginning stages. Cooperstown not only holds the BBHOF, but has many other attractions that can be found at: Cooperstown. If you are interested in this trip please contact a member of our staff. Why not enjoy a great museum with great friends? So dust off the ol’ Tribe ball cap and let’s go visit the Baseball Hall of Fame!
