Commercial Pilot

Commercial Pilot Certification: an individual who may, with some restrictions, fly for compensation or hire. Once you complete your private pilot certificate you will either work towards your commercial pilot certificate or the instrument rating. The commercial pilot certificate allows you to get paid for flying under certain circumstances. This doesn't mean that you can jump in your airplane and have someone pay you to fly them somewhere. Training for the certificate focuses on a better understanding of aircraft systems and a higher standard of airmanship

High Performance Endorsement

A High Performance Endorsement allows a pilot to fly a High Performance aircraft, which is defined as an aircraft having greater than 200 Horsepower. There is no FAA specified number of hours a pilot must fly within a High Performance Aircraft to get this endorsement. A Certified Flight Instructor must sign off on the pilot's logbook to ensure the pilot has proper ground training and flight experience to operate the High Performance Aircraft safely.

Complex Endorsement
No person may act as pilot in command of a complex airplane (an airplane that has a retractable landing gear, flaps, and a controllable pitch propeller; or, in the case of a seaplane, flaps and a controllable pitch propeller), unless the
• Received and logged ground and flight training from an authorized instructor in a complex airplane, or in a flight simulator or flight training device that is representative of a complex airplane, and has been found proficient in the operation and systems of the airplane.
• Received a one-time endorsement in the pilot's logbook from an authorized instructor who certifies the person is proficient to operate a complex airplane.

Cleared For Multi-Engines
Computer-based Interactive Video™ course
Cleared for Multi-Engines not only gives you the basic skills for stepping up to multi-engine flight—it polishes your airmanship and helps you make a seamless transition, as you become the obvious master of the aircraft.

It's no secret, multi-engine aircraft are fast and they're fun. With greater power, bigger size, and more levers, knobs, and dials—they can deliver a thrill way beyond the pleasure of single-engine flight.

multi-engine

The multi engine rating allows you to operate as pilot-in-command of an aircraft with more than one engine. The multi engine rating can be added to a private pilots license. We recommend already being certified with an instrument rating and a commercial pilots license before beginning multi engine training. The FAA does not require this but many insurance carriers will insist that a multi engine rated pilot have a minimum amount of flight experience. The transition into multi engine aircraft is an exciting step up from flying single engine aircraft. You will experience the remarkable increase in aircraft performance capability. Speed, power and rate of climb are considerably better than in most single engine aircraft. Managing the complexity and workload of a multi engine aircraft is both exhilarating and rewarding.
